Guidelines

To help ensure your fishing vacation meets with all of your expectations, follow these simple guidelines. And "Get the Guide" using the order form on this site.

1. Determine what you want to fish for, then decide on a time-frame when everyone can participate.

2. Contact chosen tourism regions for detailed information about fishing opportunities and accommodations.

3. After receiving your information packages, decide on a specific area, then determine which level of service is desired. When selecting a specific destination, look for the following information:

• The type of accommodation and it's facilities.
• Is tackle and rain clothing provided?
• The number, sizes, and types of boats and motors.
• Are guided and unguided fishing packages available?
• The species of fish most often caught.
• The maximum weight of personal equipment allowed on flights.
• Are references provided or available?

4. Contact the references, preferably by telephone. You will find most anglers will gladly relate their experiences.

5. Make personal contact with the resort operator, preferably by telephone, to ask any questions you may have, for example:

• Various species available during a typical trip?
• The preferred or best method of fishing?
• Whether the period selected will meet your expectations.
